Coda®
air purification technology is a safety device that has been
proven to improve air quality in your
laboratories and in your incubators, and may result in improved
embryo and cell development.
Coda® filters are manufactured in an
ISO13485:2003 certified cleanroom. All materials are inspected,
tested and qualified for safe use in human IVF.
The Coda® System has proven to be
beneficial and successful in over 500 clinics worldwide. These products
continually decontaminate from the inside-out. GMP compliant and
FDA 510(k) cleared. Patented.

History of Coda® Technology
The interest in the possible effects of air quality on IVF
began with the observations of decreases in in-vitro embryo
development and pregnancy rates associated with the move of
an IVF lab from suburban Naples, Italy to the downtown area
(1992), and associated with construction around another IVF
lab in New Jersey in 1995. Some environmental effects from
other events involving construction in neighbouring spaces
and the use of toxic materials in lab spaces preceeded these
periods. Significant concentrations of volatile organic
contaminants (VOC) were measured in the laboratory air, and
in the compressed CO2 used for the incubators (Cohen
et al. Hum Reprod 12: 1742-9, 1997). Based on these observations, Coda® incubator units were
designed for use inside the incubators, Coda®
InlineTM filters
for the CO2 supply, and Coda Tower® for purifying the air in the IVF
laboratory itself.

HEPA is not Enough
Many of the gases found in IVF
labs such as benzene, acetone, ethanol, and formaldehyde are 100
to 1000 times smaller than the pore size of a HEPA filter.

Do not use other
Commercial filters in your IVF lab. You may
introduce more contaminants if filters are not
manufactured in a clean room and not FDA approved.
Do not use UV light filtration units. Recent studies
have shown that the use of UV Light in any
commercial filtration product creates Ozone within
your environment which can be very harmful to embryo
development or to any other specimens. |
